I was very fortunate that David took care of the weekend duties and my health has been on an uptick this last month and I felt strangely strong enough to take the 19 hour round trip myself. But it was exactly where I needed to be. This 12 months has been devastasting to my Alabama "family". This is my 3rd friend to loose their early 20's child to a freak accident this year. I needed to be there; to pray with them; to hug them; just to be there.
Aley and I lived in Alabama from 1994-2000. They opened their hearts and homes to me. The loved us and supported us. And our lives are so much better for the time we spent in that wonderful place with the wonderful friends we made there.
