Today our sweet SuziQ passed from this earth onto heaven to run and jump in the clouds.

We will miss you so much.

Best Weather

We have been blessed with the most beautiful weather. And the trees are starting to turn colors. And these pups (Sadie is way out in the yard) have done hours of basking in the sun this whole week :-)

Perfect Holiday....Almost

This memorial weekend Garrett, SuziQ, Sadie and I travelled to Westphalia, MO for our annual trip to the "gravel bar". Mary is my friend from NGIC - this is her and her family's homestead. Donna (from NGIC also) and her daughter also travel in from Iowa. More pictures to come..........my camera is not working properly!

I just wish everyone in my family could have made it this year :-( It wasn't quite the same. But I can't lie - it was a ton of fun!

A Feast For A Canine King

Much to my dismay I came home one day last week to find that those crafty 4 legged babies of mine got into the cupboard........

Ovaltine - gone
Oatmeal - gone
Godiva Chocolate mix - gone
Candy - gone
Cheerio's - gone

INSANE!!!!!

They were so happy. I could do nothing but laugh! I need a deadbolt on the pantry!

I had to take a picture since I could not believe how much they ate!

Puppy Update

Its been too long for me to give a puppy update!!!

Sadie just turned 8 years old :-)
She is as sweet as ever....and as stubborn as ever!
Her chronic illnesses are still present however we are at much more manageable levels. The ear infections are kept under control with a daily wash of the ears. The hip/arthritis is kept under control with minimizing the ball throwing to shorter time frames and giving her a day of rest in between.

SuziQ is getting old!!!!! 6 years old (she and Garrett share a birthday!). She is still CrazyQ about somethings - obsessively needing to be by her people and barking at imiginary objects at night! But overall she has taken Sadies lead and become a sweet natured pup. Her health is always good although the vet lectures have begun about her ever expanding girth!!!

It is good for me to take a moment to remember how much love and enjoyment these girls bring to our family.......especially right at the time when they start to shed EVERYWHERE!
