I have been missing in action, or lack of action -- internet that is! We have switched internet providers and were without a connection for a bit. It was a nice and welcome change to the non-stop electronic lives we typically live.
Thought I would just give a recap of how Fall 2012 is wrapping up here on Helta.
David is really enjoying his new position at work. He is continuing on this year as Garrett's scout leader. So far they have camped out at the baseball field and gone on a conoe trip. They have a hayride and a hike later this month. They both just love being outdoors! David has been on a second (more like fifty-second) wind with finishing the kitchen and boy has it paid off, we are just weeks away from finishing this!
I am loving my work, I currently have the best boss I have ever had. This week they will announce a managerial reorg.... praying that not all good things have to come to an end. This school year, I am helping with scouts again and continuing to teach 8th grade PSR. My new class is awesome! My health is on a steady positive climb. I have been seeing a homeopath doctor for almost a year now and have been more than pleased with the changes in my life --- I am down from 12 auto-immune diseases to just 2. I am determined to ax those as well and hope that by 2014 I will be off my thyroid meds forever!
Josh is doing well. He continues to work 2 part-time jobs so that Aley does not have to work and he carries a full load of classes. This is his second to last semester till he graduates. I pray for him daily that our economy will recover and give him the opportunity that he deserves as such a hard worker.
Aley is doing well and has turned the corner on her morning sickness. She is showing and completely adorable. She is taking a full class load this semester and will be taking 2 online class next semester since baby Connor is due over the Christmas break. We miss her terribly but are so happy to see her blossom to a wonderful young lady.
Garrett is the happiest child still. He is in second grade and completely excited about recieving his first Holy Communion in May. He continues to take special class after school at the public high school -- Mondays he has a social skills class (and he is taking to it like a duck to water!). Tuesdays he has an hour of speech and half hour of occupational therapy. And Fridays he takes home a school buddy to practice 1:1 peer interactions. He is doing very well in school and reading like a speed demon. He continues to hold his 100% record for spelling tests (I dread the day when he misses one!) He has just hit a huge growth spurt and is comfortably in size 8 clothes - where has the time gone - he has been home for 4 years!
Sadie and Squirt are doing great!
The kitchen........ is almost done - about 1 year start to finish. No comment on the budget.
It is a spectacular feat and a stunning outcome. The project was more than just a renovation of our home, it was a renovation of our marriage as well. I could not be happier with both outcomes.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
