If you get bite by a tick, apparently you are supposed to save the tick. Unlike myself who flung the crawling creeping thing as far away from me as possible.
Unfortunately if you get bit by an "infectious" tick the park ranger and the ER personnel will all ask you -- did you save the tick? Especially if your tick by inflammation is larger than your hand, growing rapidly and resembles a bulls-eye.
One day of antibiotics and my thigh has returned to mostly normal. ;-)
