The underneath of the stairs has been demo'd.......On the back side used to be this desk.
And the front side had this silly little cubby. (doors are open in this picture.
Now it is open....... waiting for some of the kitchen cabinets to be installed underneath. And painted to match the wall.
We will be moving nearly all of the kitchen cabinets into the basement. Most in the bar/kitchenette area. And some under the stairs. It will be so incredibly nice to have the same storage, new appliances and MORE counterspace in the basement kitchenette than I have in the kitchen right now!
It will really make the kitchen renovation tolerable. We are planning on it taking nearly a year. Since we are doing nearly all of the labor ourselves. It is very exciting and scarry!!
