Day 1 - Departure from Mobile, Al. It was cold!!! And we had not packed accordingly. Aley is not on deck because she had woke up not feeling well at all.Day 2 - At sea...... well for us it was at sea in the cruise ship "hospital". Aley hooked to an IV for antibotics and help with dehydration. Garrett joined her within hours for a throat infection and vomitting. :-(

Day 3 - Cozumel. Thankful for the power of antibotics both kids were better, just very sleepy. Aley ventured on her own to be a marine biologist for a day!!!!! It was an amazing all day experience! David, Garrett and I went ziplining, repelling and snorkeling. Garrett had no fear even on the 60ft repel!

Day 4 - Port of call at Calica. Beautiful!!! Aley and her Dad ATV'd thru the forest and caves and ended the day at the beach ==== the beach in the Corona commercials -- notice the tree below. Garrett and I observed and petted the dolphins and manatee (who are a bit slimy!). I don't have pictures from Garrett and I as they were on a waterproof disposable camera and not developed yet.

Day 5 - At Sea and Happy New Year. The weather was perfect. It was a day by the pool and just hanging out. An evening with shows and a party on deck at midnight. A memory we will all have for years to come.

It was amazing. But we are not new-found cruise addicts. There were constant reminders throughout the trip of our current economic climate, unemployement, forgotten children in orphanages and what is really important in life ---- God, family and friends. We were blessed to have this opportunity and grateful for it. But we are more blessed for the reminder to keep focused in life on what really matters.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!!
