It's venetian plaster and the picture does not do it justice. It is like marble on the walls! We upgraded the doors to 6 panel antique white. It was quite a process (plastering on in layers like applying layers of drywall mud). Then sanding and burnishing. But wow! so pretty and traditional.
And finally painted the left foyer wall that I have ached over what to do with. Just simple. Matched the other walls. And a quick subtle message to draw your eye up.
